Viddiction Possibly The New YouTube?

YouTube just may have some competition to worry about in the near future. There is a new website called Viddiction.com that is in Beta right now that has the potential to bring in many viewers as well as video producers. They are claiming that unlike YouTube who sells feature spots to companies such as CNN and MTV they will never do that. Their way will give the average person’s video a better chance to be seen. The even offer cash for videos. After you sign up and post a video you just need to indicate that you want the videos view count to go toward their popularity points system(you can only do this though if you’re not breaking copyright laws). Once you’ve done this you can start promoting your videos on blogs and such and start accumulating points that go toward prizes ranging from $50-$500. They also have competitions other monthly competitions as well. Like right now their competition is called College Video Fever and the first prize is $500 and even the second prize is $300. Not bad money for something you may already be doing for other sites anyway. They have one listed under the Humor/Comedy section posted by daydreamer about a guy who seems to be coughing and his head looks likes it comes right off and scares a whole bunch of people it really made me laugh. This is a site worth watching for future growth and using if you are into the making your own videos.
